This year we celebrate 60 years in business. It was June 1951 when Alastair Reid first opened the doors of Guildtown Garage to customers. Since then the business has changed markedly as have the cars that visit the workshop! The family ownership, however, continues today with Alastair's son Sandy serving the needs of todays customers Looking forward to our 60th birthday in June 2011, we like to think that we still offer “old-fashioned” value for money service to all our customers, old and new. Please celebrate with us over the next year on the lead up to our birthday. The picture below was taken shortly after Guildtown Garage opened in June 1951. Notice the traditional petrol pumps with the Esso branding, the Castrol oil containers and a bicycle, no doubt used to get out and about, around the village. Pictured are Alastair Reid (left) and mechanic Jock Watson.
